8/23/2021 DAS AND SMALL CELL MARKETToday’s DAS and Small Cell market are in the middle of a transformation from a domain solely owned by the wireless carriers to one resembling a typical IT. Technologies such as ORAN and NRU are opening wireless networking technologies to many new entrants. These new players in the enterprise space enjoy the security model offered with SIM/eSIM registration which also allows them to set roaming agreements with wireless carriers. This new paradigm will shift some of the cost burdens to the IT and engineering staff of these enterprises or to companies that can support that role. Fourier Network Solutions is actively engaging to support the construction of these solutions and with our partners can deliver on a turnkey model.
The industry, as it moves further and further into the 5G deployment, now understands the depth of fiber deployment that will be required to deliver broadband data. This coupled with the US government’s push to deliver broadband to rural and other underserved areas are resulting in a noticeable spike in fiber deployment. New technologies on the bonding of multiple wavelengths will result in higher and higher data rates being supported per strand of fiber. Lit services with new ROADM technologies will also become more viable for services than just dark fiber. Fourier is actively enhancing its services capabilities around the fiber. We now support the deployment of aerial and in (through) existing conduit along with fiber splice and test services. We are ready to scale to whatever your deployment needs are.
